February 2023

What if I told you, you could have peace of mind right now? Would you believe me? There are ways to prepare and satisfy the temporal needs for you and your family. Forethought and preparation are key. With the right guidance and support you’ll be prepared as best as possible for whatever comes. Let me help you with some of your temporal needs by guiding you as you build up an emergency and home food supply that you’ll be confident with and bring you the peace-of-mind you are looking for.

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR HOME FOOD SUPPLY
Whether you’re concerned with the loss of employment, reduction in work hours/pay, illness, inflation, supply chains or natural disasters, building up a home food supply is a very important step to get you through. People get home and auto insurance, even life insurance and more, but have you thought about food insurance? With the proper preparation you can become self sufficient even during our hardest times. Your Home Food Supply can be your family’s food insurance. I know, this task can feel daunting but don’t stress, I’m here to guide you through it all. Here are 5 Tips To Get You Started!

- Decide on several recipes that are easy and enjoyed. With freeze-dried foods you can “thrivalize” any of your favourite recipes. Many ingredients you can substitute 1 for 1. Some you can refresh first with a little water, broth, juice or whatever liquid you like and then add it to your recipe. If you’re looking for more recipes, you can find 100’s of free recipes on my website right here.
- Find long-term nutritious ingredients for your recipes. There are a variety of places you can find long-term food supplies. Know that canned food from the grocery stores are not long-term. For example a can of chili beans or fruit cocktail might last 1 to 3 years before the cans give and bacteria seeps in. They are great for short-term food storage though, so make sure you rotate through those items regular. For long-term supplies that will last 20 to 25+ years, all while maintaining their optimum nutritional value, I’ve discovered Thrive Life foods to be the best. This is because of their “nutrilock promise“. You can learn more about this unique process right here.
- Shop sales or pick up an extra item each month to build your pantry. If you take the time to prepare rather than leave it to last minute, you can build a food storage in an economical way. When you notice a sale, be sure to grab an extra item or two specifically for your food storage supply. Even if there is not a sale you might want to grab at least one item every time you shop to add. An item added here or there can really add up. You can also find great sales on long-term food from Thrive Life. Each month they have several items that range from 20% – 35% off. Some specials even go up to 50% off. You can find these sales each month my website here. Be sure to order through the “Delivery Service” to access the sale prices and free shipping options.
- Now build a 72 hours emergency kit for each family member. This is important for those rare time that you might need to leave your home with very short notice. You may have a fire in your neighbourhood or a flash flood. Maybe a family member needs to your help and you have little time to pack before you leave. We never know when emergencies will come your way but it is wise to be prepared the best you can should they happen. I like to use backpacks for these kits. They usually include 3 days of meals, some bottled water, a change of clothing, some extra cash, a list of important phone numbers, and water purification options (tablets, life straws, or filter bottles). You may want to even add a cooking method like biolite, and a camping mug, bowl, plate and utensils, if possible. Pack what you can and store it in an easy to access location in your home.
- Continue building a 3 month, then 1 years food supply. If you give yourself time to prepare you can build up your food supply step by step, avoiding the mad rush and lines that the unprepared experience. Once your pantry is full of foods your family enjoys and your emergency kits is complete, start building longer-term storage. This is were you need to start looking outside of the regular grocery stores. I have been using Thrive Life food for a very long time and have come to realize that it’s quality is better than I would have ever thought. It tastes good, looks good, and locks in around 98% of the maximum nutrients of those items when picked at the peak of perfections. This food is easy to use and lasts a long time. I can use it and do use it every single day. I also store it for long-term. As a note, freezer foods are good too but do not last more than a few months without freezer burn and in the chance of power failure, you could lose it all. So investing in a variety of food storage methods is highly recommended.

THRIVE LIFE MEALS
Pouched Meals like you’ve never seen before. During the summer of 2022, Thrive Life announced a new product line of pouched meals. They have been steadily increasing the variety. This are amazing and I’ll tell you why.
- Each pouch contains 2-3 servings.
- These have 0% preservatives or additives.
- All the meals are assembled in house, including the sauces which are made by in house as well and then freeze-dried eliminating the need for preservatives or additives.
- Just add water. Some require boiling water, others require cold water. I make mine right in the pouches. I just add water, stir, reseal the pouch, and wait the 5 – 10 mins and it’s ready.
- These have a 20 years shelf life. In all my research I’ve done, the longest shelf life I’ve found in pouched meals is 7 years but most do not even last that long. Plus they all include additives and preservatives. These new Thrive Life pouched meals blow all the others out of the water. Stock up your pantry, your RV, your cabin, your 72 hour kits, your hiking gear and more with these nutritious and quick meals.
