Corn Chowder with Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Thrive Life Instant Milk
  • 1 tbsp. Thrive Life Chicken Bouillon
  • 1/3 cup Thrive Life Sour Cream Powder
  • 1/3 cup Thrive Life Béchamel (Creamy White Sauce)
  • 1 tsp. Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 cup Thrive Life Chopped Onions – Freeze Dried
  • 2 tbsp. Thrive Life Celery – Freeze Dried
  • 2 tbsp. Thrive Life Carrot Dices – Dehydrated
  • 1 cup Thrive Life Potato Chunks – Dehydrated
  • 1 cup Thrive Life Sweet Corn – Freeze Dried
  • 1/2 cup Thrive Life Sausage Crumbles – Freeze Dried
  • 5 cup water

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to 5 cups water in a medium soup pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring to prevent scorching and lumping, and to ensure all gets stirred in.
  3. Reduce heat and gently simmer till potatoes are tender – about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and let sit 5-10 minutes before serving.

For Meal in a Jar (MIJ), layer all ingredients in a quart sealing jar in the order listed. Put the lid on, label with date and store in your pantry for up to a year. To prepare soup, simply add to water as above.
