Pantry Meals: Chicken and Rice Casserole
A family pleasing casserole that's made from 100% pantry items.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Thrive Life Chopped Chicken freeze-dried
- 1/2 cup Thrive Life Green Peas freeze-dried
- 2 cups Thrive Life Instant White Rice
- 22.6 oz Cream of Chicken Soup one family sized can
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Thrive Life Garlic freeze-dried
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups Thrive Life Shredded Cheddar Cheese divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Reconstitute chopped chicken with warm water and set aside. Cook instant white rice according to directions.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine reconstituted chopped chicken, green peas, instant rice, cream of chicken soup, onion powder, garlic, salt, pepper, and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Once combined, pour into to casserole dish.
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
- Optional: top with fresh diced parsley for garnish.
